I need Capacity... O Lord, Enlarge my heart!

When your heart is on fire for Jesus, not like zeal without knowledge but as practical righteousness sustained by rivers of waters gushing out daily from within your innnerman, you have become God's battle axe. He uses you to heal yourself of all arrogance and hidden pride and to transform your generations, pulling down evil strong holds in nations and tribes and establishing mercy and justice with prosperity and good success. He purges your conscience every now and then so that you operate without offence towards both God and men. Then even your enemies would be at peace with you because they find no fault in you and would accuse themselves of their hatred towards you; and in their envy they will observe the folly of their ways. O Lord, enlarge my heart! When your heart is enlarged it means there is more space for more holiness; more love, more power. It means you have more room for emotional challenges that seek to distress you. You soar above the storms. When the Lord enlarges our hearts, we receive capacity and capability, to will and to do his will only. A heart enlarged by the Lord is a heart refined by his purifying fire. Waves upon waves of his glorious Spirit broods and breathes over our subdued souls as we dwell away from the noise of hustling vanity and come away into solitude every now and then with the Lord. Give him the earliest and freshest hours of your day so he can fill you with new wine in new wineskin. Take frequent days off and wait upon him with earnest pursuit so he will teach you how to run the race with patience and arrive in his presence without blame. Let his grace overwhelm you with the victory of faith so that you can teach sinners his way. God is moving...his purpose to fulfil! let us come along with him, for he is with us.
